Holi is a Very famous festival of India. It is also known as the 'festival of colours'. According to the Hindu Calendar this festival is celebrated on full moon day in the month of Phalgun. It generally comes in the month of March.
Holi is a festival of two days. On the first day people celebrate Holika, Dahan' by gathering around burning piles of wood and cow dung and Singing Songs related to Holi. It is believed that on this day Lord Vishnu Saved his great devotee Prahalad from Holika and Hiranya Kashyap.
On the next day people play Holi with colours and greet one another and Create new beginning. Everybody looks very colorful and happy on this day.
Holi gives us the message of love, unity and brotherhood. It is celebrated all over India with joy and happiness. Holi is a festival which reminds us of the victory of good over evil.
